what happens when we die? |

I've got songs from Jesus Christ Superstar stuck in my head.
(I haven't watched the movie recently. I haven't listened to the soundtrack recently. But I was discussing early Church heresies and schisms with my friend Carolyn this morning, so that's probably how the crooning disciples got in my head.)
Benjamin heard me singing this:
Always thought that I'd be an apostle
Knew that I would make it if I tried
Then when we retire we can write the gospels
So they'll still talk about us when we've died.
"Papa, did you say 'fossil'?"
"No, sweetheart, I said 'apostle'."
"Papa, I need to tell you a song that's stuck in my head:
In a boat, when we fall out and drown,
we all be-come fossils when we die…"

Wow-- where did Benjamin get the idea of "falling out and drowning" from?
Benjamin has been bouncing back and forth between Puzzle Pirates and Puzzle Dinosaurs — two great puzzle books from Usborne, by the way. So I think he's got both boats and fossils on his mind.
